Lakers Lose 2 out of 3 in Close Games Against Alice Lloyd College over the Weekend

Game One-

Wright State Lake Baseball took Saturday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 5-4 walk-off victory over ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE. The game was tied at four in the bottom of the seventh when Maysonet singled, scoring one run.
Wright State Lake Baseball built a 4-run lead in the fifth inning and then held off ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE's charge. ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE closed the gap by scoring on a double, an error, and an error.
A fly out by Sparks put Wright State Lake Baseball on the board in the bottom of the second.
ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE tied the game in the top of the seventh thanks to a double by Huff, an error, and an error.
Lacey earned the win for Wright State Lake Baseball. The pitcher allowed zero hits and one run (zero earned) over one-third of an inning, striking out one and walking none. Floyd took the loss for ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE. The pitcher went two-thirds of an inning, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out one and walking one. Rasberry stepped on the bump first for Wright State Lake Baseball. The pitcher allowed three hits and three runs (zero earned) over six and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking one. Grubbs started on the mound for ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE. The starting pitcher gave up two hits and one run over three innings, striking out two and walking four.
Atkins set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Wright State Lake Baseball with two hits in three at bats. Heitkamp, Barr, and Maysonet each drove in one run for Wright State Lake Baseball. Maysonet led Wright State Lake Baseball with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing seven walks for the game. Atkins stole two bases.
Huff, the number seven hitter for ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE, led the way with two runs batted in. The outfielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Tate, Huff, and Compton each collected one hit for ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE.
 
Game Two-
Despite a 4-run deficit in the second inning, Wright State Lake Baseball almost came all the way back, eventually falling 5-4 to ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE on Sunday. Wright State Lake Baseball closed the gap by scoring on a single, a single, and a ground out.
ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE got on the board in the first inning after Grisez induced Huff to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.
ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Johnson grounded out, ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE scored on a wild pitch, and Tate singled to center field, each scoring one run.
Smith earned the win for ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE. The righty gave up six hits and four runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking two. Neely pitched four and two-thirds innings in relief for Wright State Lake Baseball. The hurler allowed three hits and one run while, striking out two and walking one. Grisez took the loss for Wright State Lake Baseball. The hurler went two and one-third innings, giving up four runs on six hits, striking out one and walking one.
Number eight hitter, Rasberry, showed the depth of Wright State Lake Baseball's lineup, by leading them with two hits in three at bats. Musgrove stole two bases. Wright State Lake Baseball stole four bases in the game. Wright State Lake Baseball were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Bill had the most chances in the field with 10.
ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE tallied nine hits in the game. Rodriguez and Byrd each collected two hits for ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE. Rodriguez, Tate, Johnson, and Huff each drove in one run for ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE. ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE turned one double play in the game.
 
Game Three-
Wright State Lake Baseball lost to ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE 4-2 on Sunday.
ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE were the first to get on the board in the fifth when Rothballer singled, scoring one run.
Maysonet grounded into a double play, which helped Wright State Lake Baseball tie the game at one in the bottom of the fifth.
A single by Tate gave ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE the lead, 3-1, in the top of the eighth.
Williams earned the win for ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE. The reliever surrendered one hit and one run (zero earned) over three innings, striking out one and walking two. Crawford took the loss for Wright State Lake Baseball. The hurler went seven and two-thirds innings, surrendering three runs (one earned) on four hits, striking out four and walking two. Cochran opened the game for ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE. The hurler surrendered three hits and one run (zero earned) over six innings, striking out five and walking one.
Atkins led the team with one run batted in. Musgrove went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Wright State Lake Baseball in hits. Wright State Lake Baseball turned two double plays in the game.
Tate drove the middle of the lineup, leading ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE with two runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Massengill and Byrd each collected two hits for ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE. Byrd stole two bases. ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE stole three bases in the game. ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE turned two double plays in the game.
