The Wright State University-Lake Campus Cross-Country team competed at the Beaver Dam Invite on August 30th, with standout performances from several runners. Leading the charge was sophomore Kaylie Dameron, who delivered an impressive race, finishing 6th overall with a time of 19:41. Her strong performance put her within 4 seconds of her own 5k school record time of 19:37.
Sophomore Tatianna Poelking followed, crossing the finish line in 24:20, demonstrating her commitment to improving her times as the season progresses. Freshman Alecia Eischen also made a notable debut, completing the race in 26:08, and showcasing the potential that the Lake Campus team has in its newest member.
Overall, the meet provided valuable experience for all runners, setting a solid foundation for the season ahead. The Lake Campus team is eager to continue their season on September 6th at the Mike Baumer XC Classic in Fariborn, Ohio.
