The Laker men traveled to Iowa for a three game Thanksgiving Holiday weekend affair. The Laker's played a tough William Penn University squad coming out flat before making several runs but fell 111-75. Byron Taylor led the Lakers with 27 points, Elijah Woods 15 points and Antonio McQueen pulled down 12 rebounds. The next day the Lakers faced Presentation College although played well but came out on the wrong end of a 77-64 score. $ Lakers led in double figures Byron Taylor 16 points, Antonio McQueen 14, Elijah Woods 13 and Patrick McClendon 10. On Sunday November 25th the final leg of the Iowa trip the Lakers faced the high octane Grinnell College and their run and gun style losing in one of the highest college scoring games in recent history 177-129. Byron Taylor paced the Lakers again with a team high 39 points. Antonio McQueen had another double double 20 points and 15 rebounds. Elijah Woods tallied 18 points Patrick McClendon 15 and Chaz Hardin 14. " It's the same story with us as it's been all year up to this point. We are not consistent playing defense for 40 minutes said Coach Jones. We will continue to work hard everyday in practice and get better "! The Lakers can catch their breath for a minute before hitting the road one more time before the Holiday break traveling to Pikeville University on Saturday December 1st and Walsh College on Monday December 3rd.
